Flamengo will have a decisive night this Friday (May 11.05). The team faces Uberlândia at 20:45 p.m. at Tijuca Tênis Clube in the final match of the best-of-five NBB quarterfinals. The series is tied at 2-2, and the winner secures a spot in the semifinals. Tickets cost R$20. Fans wearing a Flamengo shirt pay half price (R$10).

"It's a decisive match, and we have the advantage of playing at home, with our fans, our 'sixth player,' alongside whom we are strongest. The fans are always there when we need them, and it's for them that we play. It's time to show that we want to reach the semifinals and continue fighting for the title. I'm sure Tijuca will be too small for our fans," said captain Marcelinho, who predicts another evenly matched match: "We've already faced each other six times in this championship, so there are no secrets between the teams. It's a very even match; whoever is more calm, makes fewer mistakes, and can dictate the pace of the game will win," he added.

Rubro-Negro opened 2 x 0 in the quarterfinals series: they won the first game (28.04), played in Uberlândia, by 110 x 108, after two extensions, and the second (01.05), in Rio, by 70 x 63. In the third game, also played in Rio, the miners got the better of it: 77 x 60. In the last confrontation (08.05), in Uberlândia, the opponents tied the dispute: 87 x 78.

"In the last game, we chose some attacks poorly and made defensive mistakes at crucial moments, but we've already worked to correct that. Now it's time to forget the last few games and focus only on this Friday's match. We have the advantage, as we'll be playing at home, and we have to take advantage of that," said forward/center Kammerichs.
