Flamengo will be seeking new talent on the courts in February. The club will hold a basketball tryout next month in Gávea for boys born between 1993 and 1997 (under-14 teams through the first year of youth). The event's dates and times will be announced soon on the official website.

Flamengo has a tradition of discovering new talent. Born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, 17-year-old center Marcelão, recruited through one of Flamengo's tryouts, is now a club prospect and already a member of the first team alongside stars Marcelinho and Bábby.
