Seeking their sixth straight win, Flamengo returns to the court this Friday (10/19) for the second leg of the State Basketball Championship. Having qualified for the finals with two rounds to spare, the team faces Tijuca – who have also secured their spot – at 8 p.m. at the Tijuca Tennis Club. Admission is free. The championship final will be played in a best-of-three format from November 5 to 9. Flamengo is seeking their eighth title in the competition.

The new addition to the match will be the return of center Caio Torres. The player tore the ligaments in his left big toe and has yet to play this season.

"I'm very happy with my recovery and looking forward to playing again. This match against Tijuca will be very important for me to get back into playing form for the South American League, as I haven't played yet this season," said Caio.

Point guard Kojo, who suffered an abdominal strain at the beginning of the week, is still undergoing treatment and is still doubtful for the match.

Before the State finals, the team from Gávea will compete in the first phase of the South American League. The group travels on Sunday (21.10) to Mar del Plata, Argentina. The debut will be against Hebraica (URU), on 23.10. Then, Fla faces Deportes Castro (CHI), on 24.10, and Peñarol (ARG), on 25.10.
