Flamengo wins 18th consecutive game in the LDB
With 22 points, Chupeta is the top scorer in the victory over Ginástico

It's routine, but it's not boring. Tonight (August 31.08st), at the Gávea headquarters, Flamengo did what it's been doing since the first round of the Basketball Development League: it won. The victim this time was Ginástico, who lost 80-69. The game, with Chupeta as the top scorer (22 points), marked the Mais Querido's 18th consecutive victory in the competition. It's no surprise that the team led by Paulo Chupeta is the undisputed leader of the LDB.
"Ginástico came to give it all they had. They played to their limit, as they were fighting for qualification. Our team had an obligation to win, since Minas lost to Tijuca and we had the opportunity to open up a two-game lead over them," explained the red-and-black coach.
This Sunday (01.09), at 17 pm, Flamengo will play again at the Gávea social headquarters, for the LDB. The opponent is Minas, third place in the classification table.
