Flamengo Regatta Club will inaugurate the Fla-Basquete Center in Cachoeiras de Macacu on October 21st at 11:30 a.m. In partnership with the State Department of Sports, Recreation, and Youth, the project offers children and adolescents the opportunity to experience and experiment with sports, encouraging them to actively participate in sports at the Basketball Centers maintained by this partnership.

Its objective is to implement a sports activities program through a methodology that benefits the child/youth population of economically disadvantaged communities, contributing to the formation and development of citizens.

The project aims to serve a total of 900 children across six centers. In Cachoeira de Macacu, the initiative will serve 6 beneficiaries, who will be divided into three morning classes and three afternoon classes, each consisting of 150 students. Classes will be held twice a week and will last approximately 25 minutes.
