Flamengo begins fight for the 13th title of the Campeonato Carioca
Team faces Botafogo at Tijuca Tennis Club

Now it's time to decide. This Tuesday (25), at 20pm, Flamengo will go to Tijuca Tênis Clube to face Botafogo in the grand final of the 2018 Rio de Janeiro Basketball Championship. Seeking the thirteenth consecutive State title, Mais Querido will have a tough challenge and will try to maintain its unbeaten record in the first competition of the season.
The Rubro-Negro has eight wins in eight matches played this season. Having defeated all of their opponents in the Carioca Championship so far, the team from Gávea boasts a 100% record.

Botafogo has played nine games, winning six and losing three. They were defeated by Flamengo twice and Vasco in the second leg of the state semifinals.
In the current edition of the competition, Mais Querido won 67-57 away from home. At Tijuca Tênis Clube, the tough match ended with a 73-69 victory for the red-and-black team.

Dispute format
The tournament will be played in two-legged matches, with all teams facing each other at home and away. The semifinals will then be a best-of-three series, with the first-place team facing the fourth-place team and the second-place team facing the third-place team. The final begins on September 25th and will also be played over a maximum of three matches.
