Flamengo begins the second phase of the LDB

The second stage of the LDB (Basketball Development League), the Brazilian youth basketball championship, begins this Tuesday (August 25.08). The 24 participating teams will be divided into three venues and compete in the stage. For Flamengo's under-22 team, the first match of this stage will be in Belo Horizonte, where they will play Basquete Cearense.
The next opponents will be Pequeninos Rhema Basketball/Campina Grande, Sport, and Minas Tênis Clube. The matches will take place between August 26th and 28th. The Rubro-Negro team is in 15th place, alongside São José, Unitri/Praia Clube, Bauru, Joinville/AABJ, and the Brazilian U-17 team. Check out the complete table.
The LDB is divided into three phases. In the first, which is divided into five stages, all teams face each other in a single round. At the end of this stage, the top eight teams advance to the second stage, where they face each other in groups of four. The top two teams from each group advance to the semifinals and final, played in a single match.
The Clube de Regatas do Flamengo youth basketball teams receive funding from their sponsors—CSN (Companhia Siderúrgica Nacional), Banco Bonsucesso, and Brasil Brokers—via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR), as well as support from the Brazilian Confederation of Clubs (CBC) through the decentralization of resources from the Pelé Law. You can also contribute by becoming a Flamengo Guardian Angel. Simply transfer up to 6% of your IR due and receive your contribution back in your income tax refund.
