Flamengo begins the 2013/14 season
Gegê sees the group as capable of winning the three competitions it will compete in until the middle of next year.

The nation's longing to see Flamengo's adult basketball team on the court will end this Friday (04.10). At 19pm, at the Gávea social headquarters, José Neto's team will face Campos, in a game that opens the State Championship and the 2013/14 season for the Most Beloved.
"We expect an even stronger season than last. We'll defend our titles, and so there will be pressure, especially since it's Flamengo. We're focused on winning every competition. Just like last year, we're going after the titles," said Gegê.
As the young Flamengo point guard stated, Flamengo will be defending its titles, as it is the current champion of the State Championship and the New Basketball Brazil Championship. In addition to these two competitions, the Mais Querido will also compete in the Liga das Américas, the crown jewel of José Neto's team.
"The Liga das Américas is the competition we want to win most, since Flamengo has never won it. Its importance is even greater because it's worth a spot in the World Cup. It would be an unprecedented and incredibly important title. But for us, we can't just choose one championship. We have to enter to win everything," said Gegê.
