Flamengo intensifies training ahead of season opener.
The first game of the State Championship will be on Friday (September 28.09th), against Riachuelo.
By Media Relations - inOn the eve of their debut in the State Basketball Championship, Flamengo's senior team continues its intense training regimen. In the morning, the players work on their physical conditioning at the Rio Sport Center gym in Barra. Technical and tactical training takes place in the afternoon at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium in Gávea.
The team debuts in the State Championship on Friday (September 28.09th), against Riachuelo, at 18 PM, at Tijuca Tennis Club. Admission is free. The competition, which will also include Tijuca and Botafogo, will be played in a round-robin format. In the second round, on October 01.10st, the Rubro-Negro will face Botafogo at 20 PM at Tijuca, and on October 5th, they will face Tijuca at 05.10 PM at the same location. The second round will be played from October 15th to 20th. And the finals will take place between November 19.10th and 9th.
"We feel pressure to win, and I like that. Flamengo is a club that invests, and our coach, José Neto, likes to work under the pressure of winning. Here, the pressure is to win the championships," said center Shilton, one of Flamengo's new faces this season.
