The basketball world champion just got a new outfit. This Wednesday (12.11/64,90), the Intercontinental Cup commemorative shirt, the result of a partnership between Flamengo and Braziline, hits stores. The model will cost R$3 and will be available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XNUMXXL.

After winning the League of the Americas in 2013, the Pride of the Nation earned the chance to compete for the world title against Israel's Maccabi Tel-Aviv, the Euroleague champion. In two matches, played on September 26 and 28 of this year, the Red-Blacks lifted the basketball world championship trophy. With the title, the team capped a perfect season, in which they were state, national, and continental champions.

"The World Cup title was the icing on the cake. It was the title we were missing. This group has always wanted to write our name in the club's history, and little by little, we're achieving that. We've won Brazilian titles, continental titles, and now the World Cup. Perhaps, right now, we don't fully understand what it's like to write our name in the history of a club like Flamengo. I grew up watching Zico, Adílio, and Junior play, and I still see them reaping the rewards of those achievements. We're trying to replicate on the court a little of what they did on the field, aiming to win as many titles as possible. The jersey is beautiful, but I confess I don't even know if I'll wear it. I want to keep it in a special place, so that in 20 years, when I look at it again, I'll remember all the important achievements we've had. I'm sure it will have an even more special flavor when I look at it again," concluded the team's captain, Marcelinho.
