Flamengo took to the court this Thursday (23) for another match in the NBB final series. At the Pedrocão gym, in Franca, Mais Querido faced the home team and, after a lot of fighting, suffered a setback by the score of 88x79. Olivinha was the top scorer for the red-black team with 19 points.

The game began with both teams studying each other and maintaining a high level of intensity. Unlike the duel at Maracanãzinho, Franca came out with a more aggressive defense, making things difficult for the Rubro-Negro. With the upper hand in the first period, the home team converted all five three-pointers they attempted and took the lead. The final score was 29-21.

In the second quarter, coach Helinho's team continued to excel in perimeter shooting, while Flamengo experienced its worst moment of the match and ended up seeing their opponent open up a small lead. At halftime, the score was 51-36.

The Mais Querido (the most beloved team) came back looking different in the third quarter, with a more effective defense and limiting Franca's attacks. Flamengo combined a better defensive performance with a more impressive offensive performance, closing the deficit to just four points. In the final period, FlaBasquete continued to fight until the end with attacks from Olivinha and the composure of Franco Balbi, but unfortunately, it wasn't enough to secure a positive result. At the end of the match, 88-79 to Franca and the series tied at 1-1.

Flamengo's top scorers:

Olivinha - 19 points and 11 rebounds

Balbi - 18 points and 4 assists

Anderson Varejão - 16 points and 5 rebounds

Deryk - 10 points

Flamengo and Franca will face each other again next Saturday (25), at 14:30 pm, again at the Pedrocão gym. The series is tied at 1-1 and Mais Querido is looking for a victory to try to decide the title at home in game 4 of the finals.
