Flamengo's basketball team returned to the court this Monday, played well, but ended up losing to Pinheiros 93-91 in the 36th round of the NBB. The game was held at the Henrique Vilaboim Sports Center in São Paulo. Despite the result, the "Mais Querido" (Flamengo's Favorite) team remains the clear leader in the Novo Basquete Brasil (New Basketball Brazil) and in contention for the title. The red-and-blacks' standouts were Duda Machado, the team's top scorer with 36 points, and Olivinha, who recorded a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds.

From the start of the match, Flamengo showed strength against an opponent that knew how to capitalize on the support of its fans. The first three quarters of the match ended with the Red-Blacks leading.

However, the final stage was evenly balanced, with Pinheiros securing the victory. The Red-Black team was without Benite on Monday, as he sprained his foot during Sunday's training session.

In the next round, the Rio de Janeiro team will face Paulistano, on Thursday, at 20 pm.
