From Friday to Saturday, May 23rd and 24th, Flamengo will be one of the major Brazilian basketball teams competing in the first 3x3 Leagues Challenge, at Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas, in Rio de Janeiro. The Rubro-Negro will be represented by multi-champion coach Paulo Chupeta, who currently coordinates the club's youth divisions, and by young athletes Danielzinho, Dedé Pizzolato, Diego Marques, and Luis Otavio Vieira, nicknamed Chupeta. The Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB), the Liga Ouro (access league to the NBB), and the Liga de Basquete Feminino (LBF) will also have representative teams in the tournament.

3x3 basketball is played on a half court with four players: three starters and one substitute. Baskets are worth one point, or two if shot from the three-point line in traditional basketball. The game ends after ten minutes or when the score reaches 21 points.

The audience attending the Leagues Challenge will have access to a complete entertainment area surrounding the arena. DJs, bands, and other surprises will complement the basketball show.
