Flamengo loses two games and continues its search for state titles

Under-14 and under-19 basketball teams fail to overcome Vasco and Botafogo, respectively, in the first match of the State final

Last Monday (December 14th), the FlaBasquete youth teams took to the court with the under-14.12 and under-19 categories, respectively against opponents Vasco and Botafogo, for the first game of the State Championship final for both teams. The scores were very close, and the Flamengo youngsters continue in the fight for the Rio de Janeiro title in both age groups.
 
The first match of the day was between Flamengo and Vasco, at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium, at Flamengo's social headquarters in Gávea. Flamengo trailed in the final score of 49-51. In the second match of this crucial week, Botafogo beat Flamengo's under-19 team by just eight points – 61-69. The teams will meet again later this week.
