Flamengo and Basquete Cearense played a game worthy of a final this Tuesday (10.03). Despite the red-black claw, Basquete Cearense won the Basketball Development League title after a hard-fought match.

The game
The Mais Querido took the lead right away in the first quarter. Thanks to the efficiency of Rodrigo, who converted all 6 points he attempted, in addition to the defensive strength of Felício - the red-and-black's leading scorer with 19 points - , Flamengo took off and won the half 18-13.

In the second quarter, Basquete Cearense rallied. Flamengo even took a run and led by 6 points, but their opponents came from behind. Lucas, Davi, and Sualisson stepped up, and the Northeastern team not only won the half 14-8 but also surpassed Flamengo on the scoreboard. At halftime, Basquete Cearense led 27-26.

In the third quarter, Ceará took the lead, but Flamengo responded strongly. Neither team could hold the lead for long without their opponents taking it back. At the end of the half, Basquete Cearense led by just four points: 45 to 41.

The final period saw Basquete Cearense take advantage. From the middle of the quarter onwards, the Mais Querido (Most Beloved) fought back. With less than a minute remaining, both teams scored a series of points. Despite Flamengo's three-pointers, Basquete Cearense held its own and, in the end, won the title.
