On Saturday afternoon (4), the fourth game of the best-of-five final series of the NBB CAIXA was played at the Neuza Galetti gymnasium, in Marília, São Paulo. Flamengo lost 94 to 81 to Bauru, who had a very high shooting percentage and hit 14 three-pointers. For Rubro-Negro, Marquinhos was the top scorer with 16 points, followed by Olivinha, with 14. Marcelinho gave six assists and Mineiro grabbed six rebounds.
"It's no disservice to our team to lose to a team that had a record like Bauru and has quality. Now we'll analyze how they managed to finish with such a high record, fix it this week, and go after the title at home. We lost a game in the series, not the championship. Our objective remains the same," said coach José Neto.

In the first quarter, Bauru opened up a huge lead on the scoreboard, led by Jefferson and Robert Day, closing the period at 28 to 13. Flamengo improved in the second quarter, which was more balanced (23-17), and in the third they almost tied with Bauru in the period (26-25), but the team from the interior of São Paulo knew how to manage the advantage gained in the initial minutes and closed the match winning by 94 to 81.

With the result, the opponent tied the series at 2-2 and took the decision back to Rio de Janeiro. The game will be at 2:10 pm, at Arena Carioca 14, next Saturday (11).
