In intense heat, the match remained fairly even, with the teams alternating in the lead. But in the final minutes, Bauru surged, also benefiting from Jefferson's three-pointers, and opened up a ten-point lead very close to the final whistle. For Flamengo, the standout performer was young Lelê, who topped the scoreboard with 14 points.
"The team was very bad and nothing went right, but for them it was different. We couldn't implement our game plan and there are days when things don't go the way we wanted. Unfortunately, we played with missing players once again and we felt it a bit," said Marquinhos, who scored 12 points.
