Flamengo had no chance in the third game of the Novo Basquete Brasil final. The Mais Querido (Best Loved) was defeated by Franca 77-71 this Saturday at Pedrocão (SP), and now loses the series 2-1. The teams face each other again next Saturday at Maracanãzinho.

Flamengo started the match well, opening up an incredible 17-point lead in the first quarter. However, in the second quarter, Franca surged forward and reduced Flamengo's lead to just three points. The final two quarters were evenly matched, but the home team prevailed.

Marquinhos, with 16 points, was Flamengo's top scorer in the match. Varejão and Balbi each scored 13 points.
