Flamengo was defeated by Bauru in the second game of the NBB CAIXA final playoff. The São Paulo team surged in the final quarter, scoring an 85-80 lead to tie the series. The teams will now face each other again on Saturday at Arena Carioca 2 at 14:10 PM.

The first ten minutes of the game were tense. Heavy marking, little space, and, consequently, low scoring. Flamengo controlled much of the period, but Bauru followed closely, point for point. In the final minute, the visitors took the lead, but with a three-pointer from Marcelinho, the Pride of the Nation tied it up, 15-15.

In the second quarter, the ball struggled to fall. Bauru tightened its defense, giving Flamengo no space, and went up 16-11 in the fourth quarter, closing the first half with a 31-26 lead.

In the third period, Flamengo leveled the score again. Outperforming Bauru, Flamengo capitalized on space and, with dedication, took the lead with three minutes remaining. The game became tense, and play by play, point by point, the score changed. In the final period, the score was 23-16, with Mengão ahead 49-47.

In the final ten minutes, Bauru was more effective and built the victory. Scoring heavily and counting on Flamengo's lack of luck, the São Paulo team controlled the game and, despite a late comeback from Orgulho da Nação, closed the match 85-80.

The NBB CAIXA final series is tied at 1x1. Game 3 takes place next Saturday (28), 14:10 pm, again at Arena Carioca 2.
