Flamengo loses to Corinthians 83-69 in the NBB
Rubro-Negro returns to the court in January for the Super 8

In the last game of the year for the NBB, Flamengo was defeated by Corinthians by 83 to 69 on Tuesday night (29), at the Morumbi gym. In January, the red-black team turns its attention to the Super 8 dispute.
The game
The first quarter started evenly, with Corinthians playing a strong defense. The Pride of the Nation sought to move the ball forward on offense, looking for openings to shoot. With Balbi on the court, Flamengo began playing with two point guards to improve their offensive playmaking. Marquinhos also came on as the period progressed and helped the team improve its performance, as did Leo Demetrio. With a seven-point lead, Mengão finished the quarter ahead: 22-15.
At the start of the second quarter, Corinthians came back more focused and managed to close the gap. A strong point for the red-and-black team in recent games, their three-point shots weren't going in, and so the São Paulo team capitalized on the rebounds. Mengão's first three-pointer came from Yago. In the final seconds of the quarter, Marquinhos also hit a three-pointer, closing the first half 33-31 for the red-and-black team.
Early in the third quarter, Jhonatan Luz hit a three-pointer for Flamengo. But Corinthians came back stronger in the second half and managed to overturn the Flamengo advantage. Throughout the period, both defenses were working well, and few points were scored by either side. The São Paulo team closed the quarter ahead, winning 52-46.
In the final quarter, Corinthians remained efficient in their defense and managed to convert their points on offense. Flamengo fought until the end to get a positive result, but was outclassed by Corinthians, who closed the game 83-69.
