Flamengo loses to São Paulo in the NBB
Rubro-Negro is defeated 102 to 95 and suffers its first setback in the competition

In a very balanced game, Flamengo lost to São Paulo, 102 to 95, on Friday night (25). This was the first defeat of the team led by Gustavo De Conti in NBB 12. Winger Marquinhos, with 22 points, was the red-black's top scorer in the duel held at the ASCEB gym.

Despite starting with Rafael Mineiro and Marquinhos, Flamengo watched their opponents convert five consecutive three-pointers and take the lead. Undeterred, Flamengo fought back and even tied the game, but lost the first quarter 30-23. In the second quarter, the defense improved, and Olivinha and Rafael Mineiro were inspired in the paint. Marquinhos also took the lead. The comeback came with a beautiful three-pointer from number 11. From there, it was just a matter of maintaining the pace, accelerating the play, and opening up a 53-46 lead at halftime.

The third quarter was evenly matched. Early on, Zach Graham scored five consecutive points, but São Paulo responded, erased the deficit, and took the lead. Despite the negative situation, Gustavo De Conti's team remained calm, tied the score with Léo Demetrio, and then turned the score around under Franco Balbi: 77-71. In the final ten minutes, the Pride of the Nation was overtaken again and tried to fight back. They fought back, but were unsuccessful, and ended up losing 102-95.
