On Wednesday night (8), Flamengo hosted Pinheiros at Tijuca Tênis Clube, in a duel valid for the semifinal stage of the South American League. Disputed until the last seconds, the confrontation ended with a São Paulo victory by 80 to 74. With the result, Mais Querido is out of the competition.

Flamengo started the match with good three-point shooting, with Olivinha and Marquinhos scoring eight and seven points in the first quarter. However, Pinheiros converted their chances and took the lead, winning 22-15.

In the second period, the red-and-black defense improved, and "Mais Querido" managed to get closer to the scoreboard. With a strong collective performance, it didn't take long for FlaBasquete to fully return to the match. Pressing Pinheiros, the comeback was achieved with a beautiful play by Marquinhos. Thus, Mengo maintained the advantage they had built up until halftime, leaving the court with a 40-36 lead.

The third quarter was evenly matched. On one side, Flamengo controlled the defense and created strong attacking moves, increasing their lead. On the other, the São Paulo team fought hard for the result and prevented the Red-Blacks from opening up an advantage. At the end of the quarter, the Pride of the Nation ended up losing on the final play, leaving the score at 56-57.

The final minutes were intensely contested and intensely fought for by Flamengo. Fighting until the final seconds, Flamengo fought for a positive result and sought every point. However, Pinheiros managed to control the result and won 80-74.
