On Tuesday night (24.06) Flamengo announced the permanence of three athletes and the coach of the state, Brazilian and Americas champion team. The wing/pivot Olivinha, the wing/point guard Vitor Benite and the point guard Gegê, in addition to the commander José Neto, renewed their contracts with Rubro-Negro.

"Flamengo is putting together a strong team for a special schedule this season, with five major matches. In addition to the state and national championships and the League of the Americas, we'll start with the Club World Cup and two NBA preseason games. We have a competitive team and will continue with our sponsors Estácio and Sky, in addition to continuing our partnership with the Rio de Janeiro State Government Secretariat, through the Sports Incentive Law," said Flamengo's director of Olympic Sports, Marcelo Vido.

Marcelinho, Marquinhos, and Cristiano Felício already had contracts, which run for another year, and are also guaranteed to be on the team. The club is still working to complete the group that will defend Flamengo next season.
