On Wednesday afternoon (July 02.07), Flamengo agreed to keep Jerome Meyinsse for next season. The American center, MVP of the NBB 6 final, will be part of the team that will compete in the Interclub World Cup, the State Championship, the New Basketball Brazil (NBB) and the League of the Americas. Before the competition calendar, the Mais Querido will also participate in two NBA preseason games in the United States.
"Keeping Jerome is essential to maintaining our strong base, after the renewal of other athletes who led us to the titles we won last season. His (Jerome) adaptation to Rio and his rapport with the other players, Flamengo, and the coaching staff was excellent," said Marcelo Vido, the club's director of Olympic Sports.
Jerome Meyinsse joins Marcelinho, Marquinhos, Nico, Cristiano Felício, Olivinha, Vitor Benite and Gegê, in addition to the commander José Neto, in the group of those who will defend the Mantle next season.
