Flamengo's basketball team is about to take to the court for another commitment. Next Wednesday (22), at 14 pm, Mais Querido makes its debut in the Brazilian Interclubes Sub-18 Championship, facing Minas. The match will be held at Tijuca Tênis Clube, and Rubro-Negro seeks victory to start the competition on the right foot.

In addition to Minas, Flamengo will also face Botafogo (RJ) and Sociedade Thalia (PR) this week. The two highest-scoring teams in the group will advance to the semifinal stage of the tournament, which will feature a crossover match with the teams that qualified from group A.

The basketball teams of Clube de Regatas do Flamengo rely on resources from their sponsors – Estácio, AmBev, Rede D'or, IRB Brasil RE, CSN, Brasil Plural, EY – via the Federal Incentive Law/Ministry of Sports (IR) and the State Incentive Law/State Secretariat of Sports, Leisure and Youth (Seelje) of Rio de Janeiro, in addition to support from the Brazilian Committee of Clubs (CBC) resulting from the decentralization of resources originating from the Pelé Law.
