Flamengo U-19s beat Botafogo in a comeback in the State Basketball Championship
The classic in Gávea ended 84-53 and had Dilber and Pedro Henrique as top scorers, with 16 points each
By Flamengo Communication - inOn Wednesday night (7), Flamengo's under-19 basketball team beat Botafogo 84-53, in a comeback. The scores were 15-19, 18-15, 20-10 and 32-9.
The match, played at the Hélio Maurício gymnasium in Gávea, was part of the ninth round of the Campeonato Carioca. The first half was closely contested, with the black and white team ahead on the scoreboard, but after the break, the red and black boys dictated the pace and opened up a large lead, closing the score 31 points ahead of their opponents.
Flamengo's standouts were Dilber and Pedro Henrique, with 16 points each. Yago had 14 points, and João Vitor scored 12.
The next challenge will be on Wednesday of next week, the 14th, against Jacarepaguá TC, at 18:30 pm, in Gávea. On Friday (9), it is the turn of the under-22s to enter the court, for the State Championship of the category.
