Flamengo performs well and beats Botafogo 88-76 in the State Championship
With the result, Mais Querido will have the right to two home court matches in the best of three final.

In the clash to find out which team would have the advantage of home court in the final of the competition, Mais Querido got the best of it and beat the black and white team by 88 to 76. Franco Balbi was the top scorer of the match with 22 points.
The first quarter began with "Mais Querido" demonstrating a strong defensive prowess, blocking the team's key attacking plays. On offense, Flamengo attempted deep plays, seeking to enter Botafogo's paint to score. But the game was very even, with neither team opening up a lead, ending the first quarter with a minimal 18-17 lead for Flamengo. In the second quarter, Flamengo's technical superiority became apparent, increasing their lead. The team's strong defense neutralized the opponent's attacking attempts, and the gap widened. The standout performer in the first half and match was Leron Black, with excellent accuracy on three-pointers, scoring 13 points and giving Flamengo a 43-30 victory.
The third quarter began as the second ended. Mengão maintained a healthy lead, and the fans cheered with every basket. Argentine Franco Balbi began to shine, hitting three-pointers and grabbing rebounds in the frontcourt. Botafogo also found its feet when attacking, making the game a back-and-forth affair. The third quarter ended 62-56 for Fla. In the final, decisive quarter, the Mais Querido maintained the same momentum and steadily increased the lead, demonstrating excellent team play. Toward the end of the match, coach Gustavinho rotated the team and sent the youngsters onto the court, who managed the significant lead they had gained during the match: 88-76 for Mengão.
With this result, Flamengo will be entitled to two home court titles due to its better campaign. The first leg of the final against Botafogo will be played on October 1st.
