Flamengo has a new challenge in the State Basketball Championship
The red-and-black team faces Tijuca this Wednesday and hopes to maintain its 100% record.

Flamengo returns to the court this Wednesday (13.10), for the fifth and final round of the first round of the State Basketball Championship. Undefeated in the competition, the red-black team faces Tijuca, at 20 pm, at the Tijuca Tênis Clube gym.
The competition is serving as preparation for Flamengo's upcoming challenges this season, such as the NBB and the South American League. The team, which has been playing at full strength, has beaten Iguaçu (142-52), Riachuelo (114-56), Macaé (99-80), and Cabo Frio (80-50).
"Flamengo has been growing and this tournament is important for getting into the swing of things and making some plays," said coach Paulo Chupeta.
Next Sunday (17.10), Rubro-negro will play a friendly against Uniceub/Brasília, at the opponent's home. The game will be a repeat of the last three NBB finals.
