The current four-time champion of the New Basketball Brazil, Flamengo, has six representatives among the pre-selected for the 2017 All-Star Game, which will be held on March 19th, Sunday, at the Ibirapuera Gymnasium in São Paulo (SP). The Most Beloved is the team with the most nominees, with Marcelinho Machado, Marquinhos, JP Batista, Olivinha, Ronald Ramon and Hakeem Rollins in the running.
Captain Marcelinho Machado could return to the All-Star Game this year. He, with the second-highest three-point shooting average in the NBB 9, at 2.86 per game, is one of the highlights of the current red-and-black season. Another winger in the running is Marquinhos, who holds the fourth-highest scoring average, at 19.72, and is currently the NBB Brazil team's top scorer.
Among the pivots, JP Batista has been nominated for the event for the second time in a row. In a great phase at Flamengo, Olivinha has the highest rebound average in the championship (11.53) and the best efficiency (22.21).
