The team, which has four wins in four matches, faces third-place Pinheiros (four wins and five losses) at 30:10 pm at the Tijuca Tennis Club gymnasium, with coverage on SPORTV. Tickets cost R$5. The team is coming off a marathon of trips and games. Last week, after facing Assis and Bauru, away from home, last Friday (03.12/05.12) and last Sunday (07.12/08.12), respectively, the team returned to the court on Tuesday (XNUMX/XNUMX) and Wednesday (XNUMX/XNUMX), for the State semifinals, against Cabo Frio, with the second match being played at the opponent's home.

"Pinheiros is a strong team, with experienced players, and under normal circumstances, it would already be a difficult match. We also have the added challenge of exhaustion, not only physically, but also psychologically, because the State Championship matches count as finals," said point guard Marcelinho.

Pivot Átila also predicts a difficult match, especially since the opponent is coming off a victory in the last round.

Pinheiros has a good team, which has strengthened and is on a roll after the win against Vitória in the last round," said the player, noting that it will be his first meeting on the court with Bruno Fiorotto, his former teammate at Tenerife in Spain and one of Pinheiros' key players. "We have a great relationship and it will be the first time we will play on opposite sides," added Átila.

After the match against Pinheiros, Flamengo turns its attention to the State Championship final. The red-and-black team faces Tijuca in a best-of-three series. The first two will be played on the 15th and 16th, at 20 pm, at Tijuca Tênis Clube. The third match, if necessary, has yet to be scheduled.
