Flamengo finishes the Under-18 Brazilian Basketball Cup in second place
Fighting until the end, Crias da Gávea ends up suffering a setback against Pinheiros in the final

Facing Pinheiros, the Crias da Gávea suffered a setback by a score of 73 to 49 and took second place in the competition. Matheusinho was the top scorer of the match with 28 points.
The match started very evenly, with the São Paulo team slightly ahead. Assis scored the first two points for the Mais Querido. The Pinheiros team imposed a strong defense, making it difficult for the Flamengo attack to find success. With three-pointers from Matheusinho, Flamengo came back into the game and closed the gap. By the end of the quarter, the score was 21-14.
In the second period, Flamengo relied on the point guard duo of Igor and Matheusinho. With a highly physical game, Flamengo gradually reduced the opponent's lead and gained ground. As time wore on and Flamengo's perimeter shooting improved, Pinheiros pulled away again, although FlaBasquete fought valiantly to contain the opposition's momentum. At the end of the period, Flamengo held a 12-point lead.
The tone after halftime was the same. Pinheiros imposed a strong defense and Flamengo fought for every ball, exchanging baskets throughout the ten minutes. Pinheiros opened up a 22-point lead, and the Crias da Gávea team went into the final period needing a major comeback.
Despite the commitment throughout the period, Mais Querido was unable to take advantage of the good advantage that the São Paulo team acquired and the match ended with a score of 73 to 49. Despite the great campaign, with five wins in six games, Flamengo finished in second place in the Under-18 Brazilian Basketball Cup.
