Flamengo wins 15th consecutive match in the LDB
At the Gávea headquarters, Mais Querido defeats Goiânia and remains the only undefeated club in the competition

On Wednesday night (28.08), at the Hélio Maurício Gymnasium, in a game valid for the Basketball Development League (LDB), Flamengo beat Goiânia by 88 to 64. With the result, the Mais Querido remains as the isolated leader and the only undefeated team in the LDB. Today marked the beginning of the third stage of the competition, which will be played at the Gávea social headquarters until September 1st.
The standout performer of the match was Flamengo center Douglas, who finished as the top scorer with 29 points. Also on Flamengo's side were forward Diego, with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and shooting guard Chupeta, who scored 20 points.
"We started with a very strong defense and quickly went up 16-2. With that, their team settled down, as if accepting the defeat. In the second quarter, we gained almost a 30-point lead, and I started rotating the team to rest the boys, since they've been playing for five days straight. It was a calm game, almost without any excitement," said Rubro-Negro coach Paulo Chupeta.
