Flamengo wins its second consecutive game in the NBB: 102-89 against Botafogo, away from home.

Mais Querido remains in fifth place with one round remaining in the initial phase.

FlaBasquete won its second consecutive game in the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). This time, the victim was Botafogo, this Saturday. Playing away from home, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) defeated its rival 102-89. Despite the positive result, the "Pride of the Nation" remains in fifth place, now with only one round left in the initial phase. 

After a balanced first quarter, where the teams were tied at 22-22, Flamengo demonstrated its superiority in the following quarters. They won the second quarter 25-18 and the third 29-21. With a comfortable lead, they relaxed in the last quarter and were defeated 28-26.

The standout player of the game was Botafogo's point guard, Matheusinho. A product of Flamengo's youth system, he scored an incredible 50 points, making him the game's top scorer. It was one of the highest scores in NBB history. For Flamengo, the standout player was Argentinian point guard Negrete, who scored 23 points. 

In rebounds, center Wesley stood out, grabbing nine. In assists, Negrete once again excelled, with seven. 

Closing out the initial phase of the NBB, Flamengo faces Vasco at Maracanãzinho this Tuesday at 18 PM.
