Flamengo wins friendly in Vila Velha
The red-black team beats the home team 90-70 with 18 points from Jefferson
By Media Relations - inFlamengo beat CETAF, 90 x 70, in the first friendly between the two teams, on Friday night (01.10), in Vila Velha (ES). Power forward Jefferson was Flamengo's top scorer with 18 points. Marcelinho scored 16, Lamonte, Teichmann and Bábby scored 10 points each.
\The first half was evenly matched, and Flamengo only managed to open up a lead in the third quarter, with Jefferson having an inspired performance. In the final quarter, the team simply had to hold on. The two teams face off again this Saturday (October 02.10nd) at 19 pm at the Tartarugão gymnasium. The matches serve as preparation for the NBB and the South American League, Flamengo's next challenges this season.
\Rubro-negro is still competing in the State Championship. The team is undefeated in the competition (they beat Iguaçu, 142 x 52, Riachuelo, 114 x 56, and Macaé, 99 x 80). The next challenge will be against Cabo Frio, next Wednesday (06.10), at the opponent's home.
