Flamengo defeats Botafogo and maintains 100% success in the Ary Vidal Trophy
Rubro-Negro participates in the competition with a team made up of young people up to 22 years old

Three wins in three games. That's the record of the Flamengo basketball team in the Carioca Tournament/Ary Vidal Trophy. The latest victim was Botafogo, who lost to Flamengo 72-56 this Thursday (June 13.06th) at Gávea, in the third round of the qualifying phase.
"The idea is to put new talents on the court who, one day, could wear the Flamengo jersey playing for the main team. We made a selection within the club and brought together the best from the under-22 and youth teams," said Paulo Chupeta, the coach who leads Flamengo in the Carioca Tournament.
Flamengo's other two victories were against PM Queimados (83-55) and UFRJ (78-28). The "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) leads the competition with six points and returns to play on July 07th, when they face Macaé at Gávea.
