On Friday night (11.10), in Campos, Flamengo beat Macaé, 96 to 76, finished the second round of the State Championship with 100% success, after two games, and guaranteed its place in the final of the competition, which will be played at the end of October. The match marked the debut of power forward Cristiano Felício and did not have a score that reflected the match, according to point guard Gegê, who, at the end of the match, reinforced the difficulties of the game.

"It wasn't an easy game. The score doesn't tell the story of the match. It was a very tight contest, but in the second half, we improved our defense and only in the third quarter were we able to open up a small lead. In the last quarter, we played well and made a big difference in points," he explained.

Before playing the State final, Flamengo will still have two matches, valid for the third round of the competition. The first of them will be next Friday (18.10), at 19 pm, against Campos, in Macaé.
