On the morning of last Thursday (10.10), in Recife, Flamengo defeated Vitoria 68-51 and regained the lead in the Basketball Development League (LDB). The Most Beloved played without four of its main players (Gegê, Chupeta, Diego and Douglas), but won comfortably, thanks mainly to the great performance of Léo. The winger was the top scorer of the duel with 23 points.
Gegê, Douglas, and Diego were absent from the court, as they were in Rio de Janeiro for the Rubro-Negro Adult team's State Championship commitments. Chupeta, however, missed the game due to abdominal pain. Thus, it was Léo's job to lead the team to victory. Danielzinho also shone, contributing 20 points, four rebounds, three assists, and two steals. Shooting guard Alef also performed well, scoring ten points, adding 11 rebounds, and adding five assists.
Once again leader, after three rounds of the fourth stage of the competition, Flamengo will face Náutico, at 19 pm this Friday (11.10), in Recife.
