Flamengo secured an important and emotional victory on Thursday night (March 29.03). In a game decided in overtime, the red-and-black team defeated Limeira 97-96 at Tijuca Tênis Clube. The match marked the return of power forward/center Guilherme Teichmann, who recovered from a testicular tumor. With 12 points and a strong performance in overtime, the player played a key role in the victory. Duda was the top scorer with 24 points. Jackson had 21.

With this result, the team now has 19 wins in 26 games and is awaiting the result of Brasília x Liga Sorocabana, still this Thursday, to find out its position.

Flamengo returns to the court on Saturday (31.03), against Araraquara, at 19:15 pm, in Tijuca. Then, on 05.04, the team ends its participation in the qualifying phase, against Tijuca, at 19 pm, in the opponent's gym.

Still without Marcelinho, who is recovering from a fractured third finger on his left hand, the first quarter was evenly matched, ending 24-22 for the São Paulo team. Limeira extended their lead in the second quarter and went into halftime leading 46-37.

Flamengo came back with a stronger defense for the second half and made up the difference, tying the game in the last play of the quarter, in a beautiful play by David Jackson: 62 x 62. The last part was also balanced and, in two free throws converted by Kammerichs, Fla tied at 82 x 82, taking the game to overtime.

Teichmann's star shined in overtime, delivering a strong performance upon his return. He had been at the coach's disposal since the match against Franca on March 15.03, but this was his first time on the court.

"Much more important than playing well was getting the win. I was ready to go in and had it in my head that I would play sooner or later. It was better than I imagined. It was a tough game, which seemed lost at times, but we managed to come back and win. I'm very happy," said Teichmann.

Flamengo started with: Fred (4), David Jackson (21), Duda (24), Kammerichs (9) and Caio Torres (6). Entered: Átila (7), Hélio (9), Chris Hayes (5).
