Flamengo wins again and takes second place in the NBB
Led by Marcelinho and Bábby, the team beats Vitória 71 x 62

Flamengo secured another important victory in the NBB (New Basketball Brazil) on Sunday morning (February 13.02). The red-and-black team defeated Vitória 71-62 in Vitória, and reached 11 wins in 15 games in the competition. Now, Flamengo moved up from third to second place in the overall standings, with a 73,33% success rate. Pinheiros remains in the lead with the same number of losses as Flamengo (four), but with two more games and, therefore, a higher success rate (76,47%).
Flamengo's marathon of games continues next week in Rio de Janeiro. On Wednesday (February 16.02), the team faces Araraquara at 20 p.m. Then, they return to the court on Friday (February 18.02), against Assis at 20 p.m., and on Sunday (February 20.02), against Bauru at 12 p.m. The matches will be played at the HSBC Arena.
The top scorer in Sunday's game was forward/guard Marcelinho, with 24 points. Center Bábby also stood out, with 22 points and 10 rebounds (double-double).
