Flamengo achieved another great result in the New Basketball Brazil tournament. Facing Bauru, the "Mais Querido" defeated the São Paulo team 80-72, earning their eighth consecutive victory in the competition. Marquinhos (20 points) and Olivinha (25 points) were the red-and-blacks' standout performers in the match. 

The match started evenly at the Tijuca Tennis Club. With Olivinha and Larry Taylor setting a fast pace, the teams traded points for the first ten minutes, demonstrating why Flamengo and Bauru are one of the country's most popular derbies. At the end of the first half, the Mais Querido (Mais Querido) won 19-18. 

During the second quarter, a significant milestone was reached. With a stunning three-pointer, point guard Davi Rossetto reached 2000 points in NBB history. Flamengo maintained its momentum throughout the game, and at the end of the quarter, with an even more productive attack, scoring 41-36. 

Coming back from halftime, Bauru tightened its defense and improved its offensive performance, leveling the playing field. With the support of the nation, Flamengo responded to the advances of Demétrius Ferraciú's team.

The fourth quarter had one name: Marquinhos. The number 11 was on fire in the final minutes and scored 10 points that sealed FlaBasquete's victory. At the clock's end, it was 80-72 for the Mais Querido. This was the eighth consecutive positive result for the team led by Gustavo De Conti and boosted morale to face Vasco da Gama on Saturday (16).
