Flamengo defeats Campos in the State Championship
José Neto's team remains the only one with a 100% success rate

Flamengo opened the second round of the State Basketball Championship with a victory. On Thursday night (10.10), at the opponent's home, José Neto's team beat Campos by 96 to 78. With this result, the Mais Querido continues with a 100% success rate, having won both of its matches in the first round of the competition.
"It was a good game. Campos came out very strong, with a tight defense. We already knew it would be tough playing here at their home ground, and we managed to manage the match well. In the end, we managed to open up a slightly bigger lead, which gave us more peace of mind to make our plays more calmly and maintain the points difference," explained point guard Benite.
As the State Championship has only three clubs, Flamengo will end its participation in the second round of the competition this Friday (11.10). Also in Campos, at 19 pm, José Neto's team will face Macaé. In the first round match, played in Gávea, the Mais Querido defeated the Macaé team 72 to 67.
