The semifinals are here! The Crias da Gávea took to the court this Wednesday (14) for another match in the Brazilian Under-16 Basketball Cup. In the Clássico dos Milhões, against Vasco, the red-and-black team won 53-50 and secured a spot in the semifinals. With a growing and important performance throughout the competition, the Mais Querido is going all out to win the national title. Combining a strong defense and a well-divided score, FlaBasquete has been presenting more consistent basketball each day, and led by coach Marcos Beegu, they remain undefeated in the tournament.

João César hit two free throws late in the game, with Flamengo only one point ahead, sealing the Rubro-Negro's victory in the Clássico dos Milhoes. Coach Beegu spoke to the Official Website about the Crias da Gávea's performance in the match. 

"It was an incredible game, very competitive, full of excitement. Vasco is a very good and strong team, but our boys fought hard, ran and fought back against a negative score in the final minutes, and we managed to turn the game around. The red-and-black spirit and heart prevailed, and that was the most important thing," the coach assessed. 

Flamengo faces São José this Thursday (15), at 18:30 pm, in a game valid for the semi-final of the Brazilian Under-16 Basketball Cup.
