Flamengo defeats Niterói in the Carioca Championship
Olivinha and Rafael Mineiro shine, and Rubro-Negro gives their opponent no chance in their debut

Leading the scoreboard from the start, Mais Querido had Olivinha (24 points) and Rafael Mineiro (18 points and 11 rebounds) as the main highlights. Debutants Leron Black and Léo Demetrio also contributed greatly to the result.

Defending well in the first quarter, FlaBasquete quickly opened up a lead with strong plays from Olivinha. The power forward scored 13 consecutive points, forcing the Niterói coach to call a timeout. Upon returning, Leron Black and Léo Demetrio came off the bench and dominated the paint. In the second quarter, it was Deryk's turn to emerge with three-pointers. The number 9 even hit a beautiful basket as the clock expired. By this point, Rafael Mineiro, named MVP of the match, was already making the difference. Given this scenario, the Mais Querido went into halftime leading 51-28.
The third period served to solidify the victory. In the opening minutes, a flurry of three-pointers brought the lead to around thirty points. From there, it was just a matter of managing it. In the final quarter, Gustavo de Conti's team capitalized on its opportunities and closed out the match 93-54.
