Flamengo got off to a flying start in the 2018 LDB. Facing Pinheiros, the "Mais Querido" (the most beloved team) dominated from the start, securing a 72-59 victory. Thiago Sorriso led the way with 16 points. Matheusinho (14 points and six assists), João Vitor (eleven points and ten rebounds), and Felipin (10 points) also stood out. 

The match was evenly matched from start to finish, but the red-and-blacks dominated throughout all four periods. Led by Paulo Chupeta, the Garotos da Gávea brought a strong collective game to the court, with a strong focus on their work in the paint.

Now FlaBasquete takes to the court on Tuesday (11), at 18:30 pm, against Paulistano. Seeking their second victory, the red and black squad arrives with high confidence to compete in another national basketball classic.
