Flamengo beat Osasco 88-67 on Wednesday night (5), at Ginásio Geodésico, for the seventh round of the Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB). With the result, Mais Querido closes a sequence of four away games, in São Paulo, with four wins, reaching the seventh consecutive victory and remaining undefeated and leader of the national competition.

1st Bedroom

Flamengo started the game at a disadvantage, seeing Osasco open up an 8-1 lead in the first few minutes. But the reaction came quickly, led by Alexey and Wesley, who each made two field goals and led the Flamengo comeback. The entry of the second unit in the final stretch of the quarter also maintained the strong pace. With good performances from Negrete, Dee Bost, Gui Deodato, and Jhonatan Luz, Flamengo finished the first quarter ahead: 28-24.

2st Bedroom

Flamengo started the second quarter strong, with Shaq Johnson in inspired form. The forward scored seven consecutive points, including a beautiful three-pointer and a fast break after an assist from Alexey. Gui Deodato also performed well, converting a three-pointer. With a great offensive run, Flamengo went on a 10-2 run and opened up a double-digit lead. Despite Osasco's partial recovery in the final minutes, Flamengo controlled the pace and went into halftime leading 45-38.

3st Bedroom

Flamengo returned from halftime in top form and quickly took control of the game. Jhonatan opened the fourth quarter with a three-pointer, and the duo of Alexey and Wesley maintained their chemistry in the pick and roll, with the center finishing with a dunk. During the sequence in which the team took off and opened up an 18-point lead, young players Daniel Onwenu and Manel came in and had a good performance. Daniel scored 9 points and Manel 6 in that quarter alone. With excellent offensive rhythm, Flamengo closed the third quarter winning 74-59.

4st quarter

With a comfortable lead, Flamengo managed the game in the final quarter and controlled the pace until the end. The team reduced the intensity but maintained control of the match. Daniel Onwenu made good use of his minutes on the court, adding five more points in the quarter and reaching a total of 14. Without any scares, the "Mais Querido" (Most Beloved) confirmed the 88-67 victory over Osasco, ending a streak of four away games in São Paulo with four wins.

Next challenge

Pride of the Nation returns to the court next Sunday (9), to face Pato Basquete, at 15 pm, at Maracanãzinho, for the eighth round of the NBB.
