Playing the way the fans love, Flamengo defeated Fuerza Regia with authority, 109-59, this Saturday (February 09.02) in the League of the Americas. The team demonstrated better organization on defense and controlled the game throughout. In the first quarter, they led by ten points and allowed their opponent to close the gap, but in the second quarter they consolidated their victory.
"This was an important game for us to seek qualification, and to achieve this, we used a lot of defense. We can see the difference between yesterday's game and today's. Now it's time to focus on the next game in pursuit of qualification," analyzed coach Neto.
The red-and-black team took to the court with Gegê, Benite, Olivinha, Marquinhos, and Caio. In the second quarter, Bruno Zanotti, one of the team's standouts, came on for Olivinha, and the defense put in a solid performance that opened up a gap that the Mexican team was unable to recover.
