Flamengo wins the semifinal against Municipal and competes for the state title with Tijuca

On Saturday afternoon (3), the team led by Gustavo De Conti defeated Municipal by 92 to 51, at Maracanãzinho. With the triumph, Flamengo arrives undefeated in the final to fight for the fifth state championship.
Highlights
Young Rafael Rachel achieved a double-double, with 17 points and 19 rebounds. Pedro Nunes was the top scorer, with 19 points, followed by Rachel and Leo Demetrio; Balbi was the leader in assists (9).
The game
Despite resting star players Marquinhos, Olivinha, and Hettsheimeir, Flamengo once again started off with a bang. In the first half, Balbi, Pedro Nunes, and Rachel were the red-and-blacks' standout performers. Leo Demetrio also showed sharp aim, hitting three three-pointers.
With a large lead on the scoreboard, coach Gustavinho once again took advantage of the opportunity to give the boys minutes, who once again put on a strong performance, including a beautiful alley-oop from Matheusinho to Rachel in the third quarter. In the final period, Municipal held the lead in the half, but victory was already assured for the Mais Querido.
