Flamengo wins series against Paulistano 3-0 and is in the NBB final
The red-black team awaits the winner of São Paulo and Minas Gerais to find out their opponent in the quest for their seventh championship title.
By Flamengo Communication - inLet's go to the eighth final of FlaBasquete in the New Basketball Brazil (NBB)! On the afternoon of this Saturday (15), the Pride of the Nation closed the semifinal against Paulistano 3-0 and stamped the passport to the grand final of the championship.
Six-time champions, the Gávea team awaits the winner of the series between São Paulo and Minas to find out their next rival in the fight for the title.
The game
In the third and final match of the series, Rubro-Negro defeated their opponents 69-58 at Maracanãzinho. With scores of 12-17, 18-17, 12-17, and 16-18, coach Gustavo De Conti's team had no trouble securing victory.
Marquinhos was the game's and the team's top scorer and even achieved a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds. Olivinha also shone, achieving a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds.
The end is in sight
The best-of-five series that will determine the NBB champion begins on Saturday, May 22nd. All matches will be played at Maracanãzinho.
