With this result, Flamengo achieved its goal and ended the stage with three wins. The second round will be played from October 15th to 05.10th. The finals will take place between November 19.10th and 9th.
On Sunday (07.10), Flamengo travels to Buenos Aires where they will play three friendly matches in preparation for the South American League, at the end of the month, and for the NBB, starting in November. The Rio de Janeiro team will face Boca Jrs., Lanús and Velez, on the 8th, 9th and 10.10th of October, respectively.
After a balanced start, Flamengo closed the first quarter at 19 x 11. Forcing the marking, the Rubro-negro extended the advantage in the second quarter and went to halftime winning by 46 x 25. "It was good to finish this first phase undefeated; that was our goal. But we still have a lot of work ahead of us. We're just starting our preparations and we're still getting our game rhythm. But I'm pleased to be able to test our players," said coach José Neto.
Flamengo started with: Kojo (2), Benite (16), Olivinha (15), Marquinhos (19) and Shilton (10). Entered: Duda (10), Gegê (16), Feliz (1), Douglas (2), Diego (4), Alexandre (2) and Chupeta (2).
