Flamengo ended its three-match friendly series against Argentine teams with a victory. On Wednesday night (October 10.10), the Red-Black team defeated Velez 95-65 at their opponent's home ground in Buenos Aires. The games served as preparation for the South American League and the NBB.

In the first two matches, despite the balance, the Rio de Janeiro team was beaten by Boca Jrs, 76 x 68, and by Lanús, 77 x 73.

"These were three very important matches in our preparation for the South American League. We played against teams that were already competing in the Argentine League, and the level was very high. I believe we gained good resistance. Furthermore, we evaluated the areas that still need improvement and will continue working hard," said coach José Neto.

In Wednesday's match, Marcelinho led all scorers with 25 points. Olivinha finished the game with a double-double: 11 points and 10 rebounds. The Red-Blacks were also without center Caio Torres. The player is recovering from a left big toe injury and is expected to return to the court in the first phase of the South American League.
